Scientific name: Cephalopterus penduliger

Native to: Found on the seaward slopes of mountains in Colombia and Ecuador

IUCN Classification: Red listed as ‘Vulnerable’. Extensive forest loss since 1960, combined with some pressure from hunting indicate that this species’ population is declining rapidly. The population is presumably now small and fragmented in very small subpopulations (from IUCN Redlist)
