SMS Donations - the 'small print'

Network Charges

Texts are a single £3 donation (plus your standard network charge), of which up to 100% will be donated to WLT and charged to your mobile phone bill or pre-paid account.

Depending on your network a fraction of the donation may be deducted as a service charge. These deductions vary from network to network, but below is a summary of the donation amount received by WLT from the main UK network operators (rates are rounded up to the nearest penny).

When you send the donation text message, we will reply with a confirmation message. Please obtain the bill payers permission before making an SMS donation to the World Land Trust.

Gift Aid It  

If you are a UK tax payer WLT can receive Gift Aid on your donation. Just follow the link from the confirmation "thank you" text to fill in a simple Gift Aid declaration form.

How we keep in touch

We do not currently contact our supporters via text messages, but if you have included your email address in the SMS we will send you monthly email updates. In the future, if you donate by SMS you may receive occasional text messages from the World Land Trust. If you would like to opt out please email us on the following address.

Problems donating?

If you do not receive a confirmation message your donation was not successful and you will not be charged. If this happens, contact your network for help. Your telephone may be set to block reverse-billed text messages.
